what we are thankful for

1. Carson. Who did not run away after all. He packed his pillowcase full of stuffed animals but in the end, decided Grandma's house was too far to walk to.

2. Each other. No other two people could manage to look so high in every picture.
3. Grandpas. They go to great lengths to keep us entertained.
4. Cousins. Or 2nd cousins rather.
4. Trips to the snow to cut down Christmas trees...and snow angels.
5. The ability to make yellow snow on said trips.
6. Nap time. Observing tree cutting is exhausting.
7. Modern conveniences. Without you, we wouldn't have a babysitter.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

some light reading

Last night Carson came downstairs to go potty with his Book of Mormon and said, "I am just going to do a little reading on the potty." Nothing like a little spiritual enlightenment in the bathroom.

This morning he wanted to do a little reading while he ate his Cream of Wheat.

haunted car show

We try to get our money's worth out of Carson's costumes every year by taking him trick or treating at every event possible leading up to Halloween. We got started yesterday. :)

he is a big kid now

Today is day three of potty training for this silly little man. No accidents! Hooray for Carson! (and me)

t-ball

Don't let this cute face fool you. T-ball is usually accompanied by a huge attitude and tears in the out field. We have only had one game but the practices have nearly killed me.

Chocolate Milk break.

Hanging out on second base.

Enjoying a little Gatorade in the dug-out. Look at those eyes!

The best part of the whole game! The end, when Carson tried to huddle with the other team.

birthday disney trip

We decided that since Cory and Carson's birthdays are only a day apart, that we would skip the parties and celebrate at Disneyland.
One of the highlights of the trip happened before we even left. Cory packed up the roof bags on top of the car in our garage only to find that he was stuck. He had to unload and back out and then reload the car. I teased him about it all weekend.

I insisted both boys wear the "Birthday Buttons" all day. Cory wanted to kill me by the end of the day after being told "Happy Birthday" about 500 times.

Carson with Poppie and Grandma on the Pirates of the Caribbean.

Carson noticed this sign on a few of the rides and decided he needed to show us what it meant.

His impersonation of the picture above.

Carson handled his churro like a champ.

Sleepy Skeleton.

We also had some fun at the beach and the swap meet. We had a yummy birthday dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory. Thanks for a great trip Poppie and Grandma!
